The Old Boat House – Amble – Located on the harbour in Amble in a converted boat house, specialises in fresh fish landed from the local fishing boats and local seasonal produce. Red Lion Alnmouth – Fab pub food with large menu and good range of specials. Really good selection of ales. You cannot book a table so get there before 7.00pm at weekends. Tel: 01665 830584
Italia – Alnmouth (next to the Hope & Anchor) – Really relaxed authentic Italian restaurant with wood burning pizza oven. The pizzas are fantastic and a real favourite of our family – take away pizza also available There is a happy hour (and a half) every day from 4.00pm-5.30pm when all food is half priced – amazing value!! The Tea Cosy & Bistro 23, Alnmouth – cafe by day serving a range of tasty snacks. Also open as a bistro on Wed & Saturday evenings with excellent local menu. Fully licensed in the evening. Tel: 01665 830393

The Ship Inn, Newton By the Sea – the setting over looking Newton bay is unbeatable. The Ship has its own micro brewery, serves great snacks at lunch and is open for dinner in the evening. There are a limited number of tables so booking for dinner is essential – try the lobster if its on the menu! Tel: 01665 576262
The Running Fox – Bakery and Café, Felton – Take the scenic route through the lovely village of Warkworth and make your way to the Running Fox in Felton – a gem of a place! An artisan bakery, it is renowned locally for fantastic bread and cakes and the small café serves delicious food including Sunday brunch/lunch. The Jolly Fisherman – Craster – Recently renovated, this iconic Craster pub has been given a fabulous make-over which complements the stunning sea views. The food is delicious and reasonably priced and if you choose the right seat you can see the dramatic ruins of nearby Dunstanburgh Castle as well as an expanse of North Sea – stunning! The Shoreline Café – Craster – Lovely café run by our friend Joanne, tasty snacks and lunches and dog friendly too. Located opposite Mick Oxley’s Gallery and The Jolly Fisherman (and near to the wonderful Craster Smokery for fresh seafood and smoked fish).
